The Debut Album

A vibrant, deeply personal record fusing Afro-Brazilian traditions with the cutting-edge soul of London’s jazz scene. A session musician with a rich pedigree, De Oliveira steps into the spotlight with a sound rooted in duality: both Brazilian and British, ancestral and future-facing.

Having performed at Glastonbury as an 8-year-old and Coachella 18 years later with George Ezra, De Oliveira’s career spans decades, genres and continents. As a sideman, he’s worked with Jordan Rakei, Jacob Collier, Jamie Cullum, Little Simz, Airto Moreira, Alfa Mist, Sault, and more. But Babo Moreno is the first time he brings his own story to the forefront told in rhythm, melody, and unmistakable groove.

“Fantastic. That was absolutely brilliant“
